Thanks blackwan for the reply.Can you please tell me:-
If database has AL16UTF16 as national characterset and
WE8ISO8859P1 as database characterset.Will it support
unicode in this scenario.

Hi Michel,
A national character set is an alternate character set that
enables you to store Unicode character data in a database that
does not have a Unicode database character set.
So even if database characterset is WE8ISO8859P1,still it
can support unicode if the national characterset is AL16UTF16
but datatypes used should be nchar,nvarchar instead
of char,varchar.
Please confirm if it is right.
