I have a database, whose backup copies goes to flash recovery area. This flash recovery are is on disk. (/u07/flash_recovery_area).

How do I put this backup copies to tape. If I backup /u07/flash_recovery_area to tape, will this be a valid backup???

Will the files know or care whether they reside on disk or tape?

If you have RMAN integrated with your MML, you could simply issue BACKUP RECOVERY AREA and this is backup the contents of the FRA to tape.
