I find dba_roles, but I dont see any user_roles table. Is there a way I can find the roles created by a user??

No. This information is not kept. SYS "owns" the roles.

There is no user-defined roles.
What do you mean by this?
Roles are database wide.

Hi Michel,
What I mean is if a user (which has a CREATE ROLE privilege) has defined some roles, say Role1 and Role2, how will I be able to know (say I am another user) which ones are by default system-defined and which ones are created by other users.
I hope am clear..
Thanks.

A role is not owned by anybody.
Once created it is available for everybody (means a DBA can grant it to anybody).
You can't know who creates it.
There is no notion of system-created or user-created roles in the database.

"system" or "default" ROLEs change across different versions of Oracle software
