Hi All,
Suppose we are developing some application with Oracle DB or oracle front end (forms) in oracle lower version like 9i.
In what case and all, we can not migrate the applicaions to oracle higher version like 10g.
Thanks & Regards,

Hi,
i am asking generally..
is thre any certain cases, if we use that while devoping applicatin with oracle 9i... So because of that, we can not migrate it to oracle 10g later on...

Since this is a new system that you are developing - why the heck are you considering 9i?
You should be using 11g - and as a DBA you should very firmly assert your opinion that this is the version you will deploy.
If you dont do this you are leaving yourself exposed to the problems of migration when you eventually do have to do it.
You also license Oracle by platform/edition... so there is no cost element in using 9i or 11g (in fact 11g is cheaper as you would not need to buy an extended support license)
