Hello All,

I'm trying to add a datafile in a ASM diskgroup but unable to do so . Below is the syntax and the error.

1* alter tablespace iris_data add datafile '+FLASH/IRISSTG'
12:01:17 SYS@IRISSTG1 >/
alter tablespace iris_data add datafile '+FLASH/IRISSTG'
*
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01119: error in creating database file '+FLASH/IRISSTG'
ORA-17502: ksfdcre:3 Failed to create file +FLASH/IRISSTG
ORA-15113: alias name 'IRISSTG' refers to a directory

The Tablespaces are using OMF structure.

There is space in that diskgroup also.

Kindly help me out.

ORA-17502:	ksfdcre:string Failed to create file string
Cause:	file creation failed due to either insufficient OS permission or the file already exists
Action:	check additional error messages
