hi,

i've a disk containing 500mb of free space, when i'm creating a tablespace of juz 100mb itz is showing error like

unable to allocate space to this tablespace? since there r 500mb free space in the disk how can this happen?

what r the reasons for this to happen?

Always post your Oracle versions to 4 digits and OS versions.
Post what you did. Copy and paste the code and errors within CODE tags.
Explaining what you did helps us very little.
And do not use IM speak. Most of the folks here are non-native English speakers and it irritates a lot.
