Hi all,

I am not able to create files in one directory.
It is showing the same UID and GID, when i am given the ls -lrt command.
I was trying to change the owner also.
But i was not able to do it.
Can u please tell me hot to create a file in a directory, if we dont have permissions?

If you don't have permission, you can't.

Otherwise, the EXACT error message might be useful. There might be millions of reasons WHY you can't create the file.

Perhaps you have misspelled the command? Perhaps the computer is switched off?
