Hi,

Need an expert advise if it's possible to restore and recover database backup taken from AIX platform to Windows platform. Btw, I am using a cold backup.

Thanks and in advance.

Hi Michel,

Do you mean that restoring physical database files from AIX to Windows platform will not work because they are different on how OS managed them?..

Thanks and Regards,

Yes he does.

The file's structure is significantly different from one platform to the other.
