Hi All,

Iam new to this forum...

I have a doubt in RMAN restore and recovery....


I have a catalog database and one target db is registered with it...

Now the scenario is, i want to do a incomplete recovery for my database.

i found out the catalog db is also crashed....

So how to recover a database with out using a catlaog db

Catalog db is not required, you can always use control file as catalog.
Just try it using "nocatalog" as option when you connect to rman.

The same ones as with catalog db but with "nocatalog".

But all the info will be in the catalog db...right?

Also to get better response,
Do not use IM style language here. Avoid u=you y=why and so on.
