Hi all,

i am have a serious problem with my oracle 9i database:

when i try to start it up , i get the following error:

ORA-00214: controlfile 'C:\ORACLE\ORADATA\ORCL\CONTROL01.CTL' version 19177
inconsistent with file 'C:\ORACLE\ORADATA\ORCL\CONTROL03.CTL' version 19175


can anyone please help me with a possible solution to the above error?

Drop the number 3 and copy number 1 to 3.
But it is useless to have 3 control files in the same directory, so you can just drop it and update parameter file.
