Hi all!

Before I post here, I've just searched in Google/at_here_OraFaq/Metalink. I've got error:

Quote:

ORA-12801: error signaled in parallel query server P000
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [ksmals], [qrarr], [], [], [], [], [], []

At metalink, I found that, this is the bug 3204937
Bug 3204937 PQ slave may fail with OERI [ksmals], [qrarr]

https://metalink.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/f?p=130:14:8043186014275975382::::p14_database_id,p14_docid,p14_show_header,p14_show_help, p14_black_frame,p14_font:NOT,3204937.8,1,0,1,helvetica

But it can not help me to solve the problem.
Whenever execute the query with ORDER BY, I've got this error.

May you help me?

Thank you!

> Oracle 9.2.0.1
V9 is obsoleted, retired & unsupported.
At a minimum you should patch up to V9.2.0.7 or upgrade to a supported version.

First time, thank you!

I'll upgrade to this patch_set as soon as possible.

May you clarify more about this error, eg:
- What did cause it?
- Why it occurred?
- If I decrease the parameter parallel_max_servers=0, will the error occur again?

Thank you!

any/every ORA-00600 indicates Oracle detected a condition which "should not" occur; also known as a internal bug.
As such you either learn how to work around it or apply a patch so Oracle no longer throws ORA-00600.
If the solution was already known, it would no longer be a bug!

Yeap!

The Oracle database bug list introduces only the brief information, not internal why, what, and how.

Example:
http://www.wowunix.com/down/patch/oracle/patchset/man/9207_buglist.htm

Some time, I might work as with my experience, some time I can not.

With this error, because of the result was not slowly with few rows to retrieve, ~ 20.000 rows, no such more sessions call concurrently, then I removed parallel hint in this query and it works now.

But I think I need to upgrade to 9.2.0.7.

Thanks again!

even better, go to 9.2.0.8.0

Rule of thumb, for Ora-600 errors, research and if needed open SR with Oracle. Since your version is not supported, upgraded to the highest possible version to see if the error stops.
