this is my sqlnet.ora

NAMES.trace_level = admin
NAMES.trace_directory_server = /tmp
NAMES.trace_file = names.trc

i want to make a trace file when i try to connect to an oracle database. when do tracing is turned on?

Check sqlnet.ora Trace Parameters for the correct parameters.
