Dears,

I have a Solaris machine and i am connecting to it remotely from my Win machine using telnet, and i need to install oracle 9i.

According to my searches, the only way that i can install it is using silent mode, i configured clientadmin.rsp response file and ran as follows:

$ runInstaller -silent -responseFile /tmp/response/clientadmin.rsp

but i got the following Error :
$ Initializing Java Virtual Machine from /tmp/OraInstall2009-01-06_11-55-25AM/jre/bin/java. Please wait...
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.InternalError: Can't connect to X11 window server using 'none' as the value of the DISPLAY variable.

You need to use some X-client s/w & ssh tunneling.
Unless & until you can successfully invoke xclock,
you will be unable invoke runInstaller.
