Hi ,

We are getting the following error in our database continously for many days.

Oracle version : 9.2.x

ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: 15709, [1], [1], 9], [, ], [, []

Oracle suggest increase parallel_max_servers.

We now got a shutdown approved on this live server.

Can you please tell us whether all the parallel related parameters also needs to be changed.Pls have a look at the existing setup and advice what value we need to set.

------------------------------------ -----------

fast_start_parallel_rollback string LOW
log_parallelism integer 1

parallel_automatic_tuning boolean FALSE
parallel_execution_message_size integer 2152
parallel_instance_group string
parallel_max_servers integer 100
parallel_min_percent integer 0
parallel_min_servers integer 4
parallel_server boolean FALSE
parallel_server_instances integer 1

I don't have right's to copy metalink document.

I'm suggesssting to you;

1/ Try to increase parallel_max_servers parameter & retry the operation

If it's not help

1/ Try to generate Trace file & call Oracle Support (Becuase this is interal erros)

Quote:
PARALLEL_MAX_SERVERS specifies the maximum number of parallel execution processes and parallel recovery processes for an instance. As demand increases, Oracle increases the number of processes from the number created at instance startup up to this value.

If you set this parameter too low, some queries may not have a parallel execution process available to them during query processing. If you set it too high, memory resource shortages may occur during peak periods, which can degrade performance.

Please cal oracle support.
