Hi,
During early in the morning around 4:00am to 6:00am when reports were fired it was throwing REP-501 error.The report server was running fine and the database was also running fine.This problem arised for the first time and at that time we are able to connect to the database .The AS froms and reports is on windows machine.No changes were made to the database.and all the users faced the same problems.

Please help .

Hi,
I have checked the google and other links and also metalink.There are many reasons but this error poppped up suddenly at early hours around 4:00 am .At that time we were able to connect to the database from the sql session from the machine hosting the application server.Suddenly around 6:30 am in the morning the problem vansihed .We dont find any major problem in the alert log as well as the listener log.
