i need help in oracle discoverer 10g, i need to dispaly data from 2 tables having an internediate table in between them, for example table1 , table2 and table3:
table1 is the master of table2 and table2 is the master of table3, i need to calculate the count of the primary key in table1 and summaries from table3, when i dont include table2 in the report , the count becomes the count of occurance of the primary key of table1 in table3, i found that i must include table2, but i dont need to display any data from it,
can anyone please help me and tell me what to do?

sometime we need to join with a table that we don't need any data from except making the desired join. so you should include the table2 in your query even you don't need any data from . it's pereferrable to make a view based on your query and then use this view in the discovere as the data source.
