Could anyone please tell me why I get the following message in alert log file:

"Thread 1 advanced to log sequence 75716"

My database is working nice at present.

Thx.

But usually I dont get this alert in other databases except
my one production database that is running on AIX os.

Why do I get this alert?

This is just an information.
And you have it in all alert.log files.

Possibly because they do about nothing and don't need to switch logs.

Do the following and let us know if you see this message on your non-AIX databases:

SQL> alter system switch logfile;

System altered.
