Hi All,
We have just installed oracle 10g in our linux ES server.
We have received a database backup from the client which seems to be the client's entire oracle folder.
Now how do we restore the same in to our new server in linux.
We are just beginners in this.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

What do you mean by "Oracle folder"? Was the backup taken on a Windows system? It might also help if you ask what they've put in there.
