Positions: (2) Oracle DBAs..A Sr. and a Jr. position within the same company.
Location: Atlanta, GA. (northern suburbs)
Industry: Financial Services
Compensation: base salary to 85K, great bonuses
*Description of the Sr Position:
Design and develop Oracle and SQL Server databases using the advanced
programming skills
certified by completion of Oracle DBA Level I and Level II, and Data
Modeling and Relational
Database Design certifications.
Multiple simultaneous tasks will be the norm; designing new systems,
overseeing development
efforts, meeting with clients, mentoring developers, and constantly
reviewing current operations
to seek improvements, will be expected.
Responsibilities will include the following:
1. Design and analysis
2. Coordinate development of databases
3. Support, maintenance, and enhancement of existing applications
4. Documentation
5. Training
6. Database technology tracking
7. additional projects
* Requirements
BA or BS degree required (Computer Science preferred); 3 years practical
experience;
knowledge of database admin functions, experience in designing distributed
OLTP databases;
Prefer experience in designing distributed OLTP databases and DSS databases;
Oracle DBA Master (prefer Master in Oracle DBA and Oracle DW Administration);
excellent verbal and written communication
U.S. citizenship or permanent residents only.

* Description of the Jr Position
ORACLE Database Administrator to 70K
Provide database and administration script development support for both
Oracle and SQLServer
in both the Solaris UNIX environment and the Windows NT environment.
Create and/or implement backup and recovery and performance tuning utilities.
Provide backup support to the Level I DBA's.
* Requirements:
Certified by completion of Oracle Administrator Level 1 training classes and
the following Oracle Administration Level 2 classes.
Oracle 8: Backup and Recovery Workshop
Oracle 8: Network Administration
Oracle 8: Performance Tuning Workshop
Database development maintenance
Utility development for backup, recovery, and performance tuning
Database performance tuning and monitoring
BA or BS degree (Computer Science preferred); 1- 2 years experience;
Knowledge of Oracle System Admin functions and PL/SQL; Oracle Level 1 & 2
Enterprise DBA
training; excellent verbal and written communication skills; team player.
Preferred: Oracle and SQLServer database development experience; Oracle Level 2
certification plus ERWin or Oracle Case experience.
U.S. citizenship or Permanent residents only.
