Position - Oracle DBA
Location - San Francisco, California
Client - A Leading Data Communications Company
Compensation - 75,000-95,000 + 6,000 - 8,000 stock options and possible bonus.
Relocation - Prefer not to relocate candidates
* Description:
DBA will be responsible for the ongoing support of production applications and
database systems in a demanding high availability environment.
Will also participate in data modeling, database design and data warehouse development.
* Requirements:
Background must include installing and configuring database software (server, tools);
performing backup and recovery: administering users, applications and network services
(SQL *Net/Net 8, ODBC); monitoring security; tuning performance and planning capacity;
scripting and programming (SQL, PL/SQL, shell, C, HTML, Java).
Also should have a BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience;
Oracle certification; knowledge of database internals and operations;
product knowledge including Oracle Designer/Developer, Oracle Application Server,
BMC Patrol and Best/1, MapInfo Spatial Ware, Remedy; practiced discipline of thorough
technical planning and documentation and implementation through change control.
U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.
