yes there is a problem and I'm currenlty looking for a solution

when installing sql*net server onto windows 2000,
at 95% of the installation you get the following message:
"could not delete NT service sqlNet ver 2"
when you click OK, installation process stop and sqlnet is not install.

Is there somebody who can elaborate on that
thanks

"could not delete NT service sqlNet ver 2"
should read
"unable to create NT service for sqlNet"

Got what sounds like the same problem:
Installed Oracle8 Client by mistake, so I wiped it clean (following serveral different procedures) to reinstall Oracle8 Enterprise Edition (accepting defaults each time, and on Windows2000). The Enterprise Edition install process halts just at the point when the "Net8 server Installation Scripts" are being installed, with the message: "Unable to delete NT service for the SQL*Net V2 listener".
I know it's been a while since the last correspondence on this, but I'd appreciate any help I could get ...
Thanks
Sergei
