I'm trying to install the IAS 8i on a linux.
The runInstaller is giving me then answer:
->The Java RunTime Environment was not found
->at /ora/tno/OraInstall/jre/bin/jre. Hence, the
->Oracle Universal Installer cannot be run
PS: I'v installed the jdk1.2.2.

You need JRE(Java Runtime Environment) to run Universal Installer because it is written in java. You can refer to the install guide by Oracle.
