I have created a script that will ftp a file from unix to an NT server. When I execute the script from the unix prompt, it works correctly... However, I'm calling the script from within a COBOL program by using a CALL "system" clause. Two things are happening, one is that a file slightly larger than 1K gets truncated... the other problem is that if the file is less than 1K, no data actually makes it through... all I see at the NT server is the empty file.
Originally I thought it was a problem within the COBOL code, but I'm making several calls to system for scripts much larger than the previous and they all execute correctly... then only difference between the scripts is the ftp portion. I've checked the man pages for any constraints the ftp utility might have, but I didn't see anything related to my problem.
Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
