Hi,

I am installing Oracel 8.0.5 Enterprise edition on IBM AIX Unix 4.3.3.

After creating the Oracle login I have run 'rootpre.sh' as root.

Now the problem is When I run ./orainst in oracle login it gives the following error.

Orainst was unable to find the post/wait kernel extension.

Please run rootpre.sh as described in the installation and configuration guide and restart orainst.

When executed rootpre.sh I get the following message:

pkext ver:2

extension /etc/pw-syscall found with kmid:0x14862c
is not loaded 0

Post wait kernel is currently loaded on the machine
Existing Kernel extension is same as the new

Configuring Asynchronous I/O
Asynchronous I/O is already defined.

Please give your suggestions for this problem

Waiting for the reply soon.
