i an experiencing a proliferation of xa .trc files on nt web server running ms mts ...can anyone tell me how to stop the creation of these files

Hi,

See solution from Microsoft at http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q246/0/06.ASP

"Under some circumstances your Oracle database may produce .trc files when used with Microsoft Transaction Server. This document describes what TRC files are, why TRC files produce, and what you can do to eliminate TRC files."
