I am using:

create java class using bfile ('C:\Java', 'A.class');

and I got:
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-22929: invalid or missing directory name

The directory was created and the file is in there.

Please let me know what is the problem.

Thanks

Try this:

create or replace directory bfile_dir as 'C:\Java';
create java class using bfile (bfile_dir, 'A.class');
(watchout ... both directory and file names are handled case sensitive)

You need to put double "\" . ie.e., "c:\\Java" becasue \ is an escape character. Hope this soolves your problem.
If u find answer in some other way please let me know.
Thanks,
Murthy
