Hello,
Please help with the following questions:

We are using TOLPLink with Oracle. All our databases in the US currently have the character set to US7ASCII. We are considering a conversion from the US7ASCII character set to either WE8ISO8859P1 or UTF8.

Are you aware of any issues with using TOPLink or JDBC with a different character set? We have heard of some issues in setting the database to UTF8 and then connecting with JAVA programs as well as other applications running on Windows, but we don't have any other information on this.

Do you have any technical papers on character set issues?

Are other International companies moving to Oracle UNICODE database character sets?

What character sets are you seeing used most often by International companies?

What character set do you use for your own internal Oracle databases?

Thanks,
Roger ---|-
