Hi there
Wonder if anyone could give me some guidance,
I am looking at the processes neccesary to migrate/upgrade my 8.1.5 master def site to 8.1.6
I will be moving the db from machine A to B both being Sun 450 E 's This basically means I can prepare as much as possible on machine B. Install oracle, create my db and rollback and install the catrep package.
the idea is to switch the production enviroment off, use 8.1.5 to export the db. move over to 8.1.6 and then import the file and then fire everything up again with the 8.1.6 now being the prod db.
I have tried doing this on a little Ultra 10 I got here and having the worlds of grieve.
is there aset step or procedure available that tell yo how to do this. It seems because I got replication it just makes everything 10 time more complicated.
