OPS great stuff ... Down time ...Depend how is the application is designed ...I hope you have to re-org some satge...???

1. OPS you need to more people to manage
2. Yes High Availability
3. How big is the database ? How much transections are you going to generate ?
4. Disk failures are possible ( What platform are you going to run this on ?)
5. So many things you have to take into account
6. How many users are you going to run ? Why you desided to run on a OPS configuration ? When there are systems can support 9000 Users on one single system.....

hi!
are there any rumors about an OPS on linux?

i recognize there are issues with the SGA and an distributed lock manager on linux, but those aren't present on nt either.
so what's the state of oracle parallel server on linux?
