Has anyone researched how an Oracle 7.x instance will handle recovery using archived redo logs from 1999 and the recovery takes place in the year 2000?
Any info on this subject would be helpful.
TIA,
John

Normally Oracle will use the SCN when recovering, so it will not be bothered by the millenium change.
It might think twice only when a time cancel recovery is done.
