hi,

can anyone suggest how many posts refering to forum guide out of 354102 messages. approximate percentage and posted by members statistics too give some idea about the peoples psychology. is it possible to get the data

very insignificant data value not worth to analyse. I thought it would be approximately 10%. I was under the assumption that all the messeges stored in table / database using string manipulation and counting statistics can be done. As michel suggests physical scan and count is impossible. Including myself got that messages on various occasions. My intention is... i just want to list it. Once it becomes insigficant data values it is unworth on analysing the properties. I am dropping the topic... if moderator can help me to vanish this thread.. it would be nice

Michel did not suggest that a count is impossible, he just suggested that you did it yourself, then Littlefoot provided the count of 498. You can verify this yourself by clicking on search, entering the criteria, and viewing the "498 search results found" listed near the top left just above the listing of the individual posts.

out of 354492 posts (95951 topics) search of following texts fetches less than 500 only. something is fishy.
select 497
forum 487
posting 477
guidelines 483
format 488

please give me one text which can fetches more than 10000

hi,
one more point an analysis. For example 'Regards' were mentioned in Michel' all messages. When i search it displays only 497 counts. where as he has crossed 22000 messages. how can it be that count displays wrong results.

You are right. The counts on forum searches all seem to be under 500. If you use the site level search, there are 2,275 hits on "forum guide". So, the percentage is still less than 1%.
