Hi,

How do we configure the optimal value for sga_max_size . Is there any formula or any kind of base value for that.
I did read that it should not be more than 50% of our RAM, and in some read that it can be 10% of RAM for Limux systems . I'm bit confused on that .

Can somebody tell me how much will be optimal for OLTP database.

Kindly help me out .

Regards,
Raj

As more as well, if the prod database is the only one application in server! But it should not exceed 75-80% physical RAM normally.
And this is my experience!
