Hello ,

we have a task wherein we need to find out how what all the tables are fragmented and how to eliminate the fragmenation .

Elimination, I guess is done by taking export of the table and dropping the table and creating the table and importing the dump file into the newly created table .

please correct if I'm right and also help me in finding out the what all are the fragemented tables.

Define "fragmentation".
Explain why "fragmentation" is a problem and why you need to "defragment".

This is amazing.
In an era of 11G and locally managed tablespaces,people still worry about table fragmentation.And these people with pathetic knowledge gets the job as a DBA.Who hired you and one that gave you the task???
