experts,

i am newbe with oracle rman. we are taking rman backups directly on tapes.

now i want to see the backup information.

i want to see backup is successful or not?
what it is backed up, means on tape or disk?
how many file that i have in each backup set?
i want to find how many files are are backed up on each day.

can any one send me link to get more details on rman. or suggest me book so that i can read.
