Hello,
Apart from BI Publisher is there any other reporting tool for apex? I want to create templates and take output in pdf,rtf etc.

Hello,

There are a few options, if you read the end of the PDF setup there are instructions to install Apache FOP http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/application_express/html/configure_printing.html#05

I've also blogged about integrating Cocoon for PDF and RTF http://carlback.blogspot.com/2007/03/apex-cocoon-pdf-and-more.html there is a viewlet there as well.

If you want to go pure PL/SQL there is PLPDF http://www.plpdf.com/

There are others but those are off the top of my head.

dear carl,

sorry for using the raj thread. In continuation of your reply,
i have one more doubt.

I have created default report with default lines 60. I just want to open through MS word 2003. My print button should take this default report in word and should open so that i can print and return back to apex page. Is it possible. what do i need to do? Your help will be immensly thankful and will resolve my long term quest.

yes, there is a new tool call J4L FO Designer, look at www.java4less.com/fopdesigner/fodesigner.php?info=apex
