Dear Gentlemen;
i am running two oracle e-business suite applications on my machine. one for testing and the other as a live server. but both being used heavily. they are very slow.
i did some investigation, it turned out that each application is being ofcorse stroed on a seperate logical volume, and each of these logical volumes is being stored on a seperate hard disk.
i tried monitiring hard disk performance (topas, diag, ...), i reached the conclusion that there is too many physical reads. i check my paging space, its 16 GB where only 25% being used. is 25% out of 16GB being used good thing or bad?
we have 16 GB ram, 2 internal hard disks of 300 GB each and a SAN of 600 GB which is being used for backup.
