Hi Experts,
Some of my statement are using Literals instead of
bind variables leading to excessive hard parse. Can I
escape the use of literals by setting cursor_sharing to FORCE.
Right now the value is set to EXACT.

My ADDM Report recommended to do segment tuning on
two tables. Please advise me how to do segment tuning.

Regards,
Varun Punj,

segment tuning? No clue what he means. Go back and ask him for more details. Ask him what he thinks segment tuning means?

CURSOR_SHARING works. It does what it says it will do. You can get additional reading from the internet. I recommend going to ASKTOMHOME and doing a search there. Tom will give you a complete lowdown on CURSOR_SHARING for he has answered this question many time with great detail and insight.
