Hi,
I installed Oracle 10g 10.2.0.1 without creating a database (just ORACLE_HOME), then installed patch set 2 -> 10.2.0.4 into that same ORACLE_HOME and did NOT enable OCM during the patch set installation. Then started DBCA and created a custom database (pretty much minimal).
Now there is the ORACLE_OCM account and scheduler jobs setup to gather information. Apparently it's trying to write files via the ORACLE_OCM_CONFIG_DIR directory that points to ORACLE_HOME\ccr\state which by the way does NOT exist (only ORACLE_HOME\ccr). As all exceptions are caught and swallowed by the OCM packages/jobs setup the scheduler jobs report successful runs.
Unfortunately, Metalink notes and the OCM install & admin guide suggest to run %OCM_INSTALL_ROOT\ccr\admin\scripts\dropocm.sql to remove OCM. But there is no such ..\admin directory and searching the whole ORACLE_HOME for a file dropocm.sql returns no results.
The big question is, how do I safely get rid of all OCM components?
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
/hc
