Hello,


Please help me with the following problem:

I wish to have Incremental level 0 with the default output format (tag) as specified from
RMAN> CONFIGURE CHANNEL DEVICE TYPE DISK CONNECT
'system/manager' FORMAT '/oracle_backup_mindses1/SMS_ora_%T_%s_%p';

BUT the incrementa level 1 to have an output format with a DIFF at the beginning and to the same path.

FORMAT and TAG are two different things, but I'll assume you are talking about FORMAT. You could ALLOCATE the channel specifically prior to your backup command and specify the FORMAT.

Will both backups will have a different output name? This is what I am trying to do.

How do I do that?

Any usefull document?

Yes, they can have different names by specifying ALLOCATE .
