after installing the oracle database on a machine ,i changed the machine name , now i can't connect to the em , is there a way to reconfigure the em with the new machine name to continue working?
is there anything else in the db configuration that needs to be reconfigured?

Try to run the following:

set oracle_sid=<sid_name>
emca -deconfig dbcontrol db -repos drop
emca -config dbcontrol db -repos recreate
