We have a database that is being backed up using solstice backup (Legato Networker). The business has requested a duplicate of a database from apx 6 weeks ago. The browse and retention periods in networker are 2 weeks. I have identified the tape that we need to duplicate from (it was a clone from one of the tapes that was then removed from the robot). My problem is I cant figure out how to recatalog the backup. I have rebuilt the index using scanner -i and can see the backup pieces with mminfo and nsrinfo but cant see them in the list in RMAN. As re-catalogging a database with "catalog backuppiece" is not usable with stb tape I was wondering how this should be done. I am trying to avoid restoring to a filesystem and adding the backup pieces from there as I believe this functionality should be possible and that will be my last option.

Thanks in advance for any help.
