Hi,

A customer have a requirement to install oracle on a Microsoft Cluster Server with Oracle Fail Safe. MS Cluster has 2 nodes (active-passive) and multiple shared disks (SAN). Oracle version to be installed is 10.2.0.3. Please let me know how should I start? I guess we have to go for Oracle RAC.

Anyway I installed normal single instance oracle server to these two nodes and I found a problem while adding a database from Oracle Fail Safe Manager. I get “FS-10094 Failed to retrieve Oracle Net listener (<LISTENER_NAME>) information from persistent cluster registry for group Oracle Group”. This is the real problem I have right now. But I suspect whether we need Oracle RAC.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
