Good morning,

I have been having a problem with Oracle. Some of jobs do not want to stop, once I press Stop button it says " The job was stopped successfully" but it goes into stop pending status and stays there for ages, once I want to delete it it says that the job must be stopped first before I can be deleted.
Any idea hot to stop it ? I tried almost everything I spent ages googling there is no information about this problem only solution is " press stop and then delete... " yeah does not work for me though.

Which job? Which stop button? There is no one on my desktop.

In Enterprise manager, after you got o jobs choose the job that you want to stop edit it and there is a "stop" button. After you press it it goes round to " stop pending" then you want to delete it but it cannon be deleted untill it is fully stopped... any ideas ?

To be honest it is not EM question, there is no problem with the Em the problem is with the Oracle itself... but thanks for your reply

hi,
try the following script which is on metalink

Edit MC: Copyrighted material removed, post Metalink note and not its content


this will give information about the job then try

mgmt_job_engine.stop_all_executions_with_id(jobid,TRUE);
