Previously i have USER tablespace of size 100gb (oracle 10g).
Now I move these tables in anoter tablespace that leads almost 50gb free space in USER TS.

Now I m trying to reduce size of USER TS. When I issue command to resize USER TS
It gives me error

Failed to commit: ORA-03297: file contains used data beyond requested RESIZE value

Please guide me how to reduce USER TS

Regards,

Hasan

First you need to identify the objects which reside above RESIZE value.

Easiest way is to do like anacedent suggested and identify the objects, then move them to another tablespace (beware of the implications of moving objects to other tablepaces).

You can identify them by looking at DBA_EXTENTS.
