Hi,

I am trying to put an image item in the background and buttons in the front but it is not working. I read in this forum that I will have to import the image but the online help does not give me an exact detail, can you please help me?

The attached screen shot (layout.gif) shows how my layout editor view and display_page.gif shows how it looks when I run it. The buttons are not seen embosed so it does not serve the purpose. Can you hint as to how I should go about trying to accomplish this?

In Forms Builder 10g:
- create a block
- go to Edit menu - Import - Image. Browse for an image, import it
- run the form

The result DOES contain items (including a button).

As I've said,

In Forms Builder 10g: ...

So, did you bother to check other menus? How about File - Import?

Yes, there is an import PL/SQL option there but I thought that was not relevant and moreover it was greyed (not able to select). I looked all the menu's but could not fine the import option.

Would it be within some other option? Or is it possible that the software that I have downloaded from the oracle website may not have it as it is free and only the paid version has it.

This is a screenshot of the Forms 6i Builder File menu; unfortunately, I didn't have access to English version so you'll have to live with Croatian one. Here's the online Croatian - English dictionary (if you wish to translate certain menu items), or you can believe my words: "Datoteka (File) - Uvezi (Import) - Slika ... (Image ...)" is what you are looking for. This item is unavailable if there's no form in the Object Navigator (either a newly created one, or the one you have just opened).
