Can we recover DB through RMAN by using backup which was taken in traditional way.(not by RMAN)

If we cannot recover then why? and if we can recover they how?

Recover the traditional way without RMAN following documented & tested recovery procedures.

No you cannot recover from a backup that is not taken with RMAN.

Why? Why are you unable to translate a french book when you did not learn french?

Actually, yes you can.

As sunil_v_mishra alluded to, you can register the backup with CATALOG.

I need to test this.

but it is possible to attached "user managed" backup datafilecopy to RMAN?
