Hi,
We have configured Failsafe 3.4.1 on 10g but is unable to failover to the Passive node when the Oracle Database Service is stopped in the Active node.
We are however able to failover when the node is shutdown or when the cluster service is stopped.
If anyone has the solution how to failover when the Oracle Database Service is stopped, kindly let me know.

When u stop service that means you are stooping it from working.
But when the node is shutdown or when the cluster service is stopped , than application service which were connecting to the active instance get diverted to the passive one as the active instance is not available.
