Hello,
When i was trying to do DATABASE REFRESH(i,e like creating another database ) in my laptop , i did entire HOT backup and i did all the corresponding changes in the trace file and INIT<new SID>file.
and after setting the path from the cmd prompt, i.e
c:\PATH>set oracle_SID=ORCLDEV<NEW SID>
c:\PATH>set oracle_HOME=C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\10.2.0\server # <NEW ORACLE_HOME> #
and when try to create the NEW instance and start the service, by giving,
c:\PATH>oradim -new -sid ORCLDEV -pfile C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\10.2.0\ server\database\INITorcldev.ora, i got an error as:
DIM-00014: Cannot open the Windows NT Service Control Manager.
O/S-Error: (OS 5) Access is denied.
please, can anyone help me out regarding this error.
