where to download 9.2.0.8 Oracle client [message #336331]

We need the Oracle client 9.2.0.8 for a certain application to run. Where can I download just the 9.2.0.8 client for Windows?

I've looked on the Oracle site (OTN) and it looks like the entire 9.2.0.8 database for unix.

Thanks for any help on this..

anacedent, I have metalink id. I wanted to upgrade 9.2.0.8 on top of my oracle version 9.2.0.2. I logged into metalink and click Patch&Updates tab. I am not able to see the patch for 9.2.0.8. when i serach this patch, it says
*** No patches found ***. I am using windows XP professional edition service pack 2. Any help appreicated...

YOu have two answer for two different question...

As per thread subject if your looking for "9.2.0.8" client then check "ANA" last response in this thread.

or If your looking for "9.2.0.8" Patchset then check my second last response.

I tried to download the client now, but seems the 9i client have been removed??

I tried using this link, but it just redirects me to the 11/10g page.

It seems that only supported software versions are available for download. If you need 9i Client, perhaps you should contact Oracle Support.

Hmmm, Pirate Bay, that sounds a little suspicious.

It is not available for download any more. You might contact Oracle and see whether they are willing to provide it.

What are you going to test, anyway? Do you REALLY need that version (and not one of available ones)?

thanks 4 your prompt reply. our test env is running in 9.2.0.1 and faced a bug i believe that it was fixed in later version like 9.2.0.4 onwards.

Perhaps you could specify the bug you are talking about. People here have a lot of experience so they might be able to provide assistance.

Besides: did you check My Oracle Support (former Metalink)? Is this bug described there?

@ littlefoot the bug was already fixed in our production which is running in 9.2.0.8.

There is no specific patchset for the client, take the one for the database, it patches the client as well.
