I have so many ora_*****.aud files in the /adump folder.
Does oracle by default generates .aud files?

1. I think this is normal behaviour of the oracle to generate .aud files, am i right?

Please tell me does oracle generates file for every sys connection?

Sample file.
Audit file /home/oracle/admin/ora01/adump/ora_24340.aud

1. Yes it is the normal behaviour and yes it will generate a file each time sys connect.

2. It is audit file, you can delete them as you want, there are only there for you to know who connect as sys and when.

Michel
